Gillo sums up the Berlin experience perfectly in his own blog here : http://www.davidgillick.com/blog/World-Athletics-Championships---Berlin.html

Go on ya good thing!

45.54 for 2nd in heat 1 was enough for Gillo to make the semi final of the 400m. With 3 semi finals it is only the top two in each guaranteed a place in the final with 2 fastest loser spots. Dave has a decent draw in lane 6 with Wariner inside him in lane 4. Squeaky bum time as the say...

Deirdre Ryan cleared 1.85m in the first round of the high jump but unfortunately this was not good enough to advance. Interestingly had Deirdre tied her outdoor personal best of 1.92m she would have been right in the mix. Some consolation that she is getting close.

Demonstrating my unwavering committment to bringing exclusive updates to www.dsdac.com I will be heading to Berlin tomorrow morning to catch the last few days' action, so all going well I'll be able to post a few stories from behind the scenes.
