A strong showing from a crack DSD squad at the Dublin half marathon on Saturday morning promised of more to come from our trio of participants. John Eves 2nd in 69.03, Robert Teevan 9th in 73.30 and Mark Conway 34th 77.28 all had strong runs and left the park content with current form. For John and Robert it provided affirmation that their fitness is solid ahead of the marathon in 4 weeks. Robert in particular takes pride of place with a new pb for the half, despite attacking the race like a sprint in the first mile! Mark will now take the traditional rite of passage through the intermediate cross country grades and with a half marathon at sub 6min miling under his belt now, this season could well be a breakthrough.
