Dublin Senior and Junior Cross Country 09 Print E-mail

Brendan O'Neill celebrated his 21st birthday on Sunday by finishing 3rd in the Dublin Senior Cross Country Championships at Raheny. The men's team finished in 3rd position with Peter Matthews 10th; Johnny Hartnett 29th; Mark Conway 30th; Ian O'Leary 32nd; Neil Cowzer 39th and Evan Scully 45th. Bryony Treston was our only competitor in the women's race and ran a great race to place 4th. Emmet Jennings showed his metal by winning the Junior Men's race and with support from James Egan 10th; Fionn Buttner 14th; Eimhan Fitzsimons 18th and Daniel Tatlow Devally 21st they took the silver medals. The Junior Women's team finished in 1st place lead home by Fiona McKenna 2nd; Niamh Denny 4th; Sinead Denny 5th; Grace Sweeney 11th; Carol Huet 14th Aisling Walsh 16th; Karli Krobb 18th and Kate Prendergast 25th.
