Congratulations to all of our medalists in the National Juvenile Championships, held in Tullamore on 11th and 12th July in very varied weather conditions! Pride of place goes to Joseph Dowling, who won the u/17 400m in 49.66 sec. This was a big pb for Joseph and the first time that he went under 50 sec. It was also a new championship best. For good measure, Joseph was also a finalist in the 100m! Also winning gold, was Fiona McKenna in the u/19 2,000m s/c, where she won easily in 7:40.63. Aisling Walsh got bronze in the same race, running 8:11.25. Sinead Denny won gold in the u/19 800m, where she ran 2:17.04. Silver medals were won by Siofra Cleirigh Buttner in the u/15 800m, in 2:17.85; by Joseph Halifax in the u/13 60mh, in 10.10 sec and by Emmet Jennings in the u/19 2,000m s/c in 6:19.24. Bronze medals were also won by Mark Kavanagh in the u/18 100m in 11.17 (+2.1) and by Michelle Yao in the u/13 80m - 11.04(+3.3). Appologies to anyone I have left out!
