A group of D.S.D. atletes travelled to the Birmingham Games at the weekend, and highlight performance must be that of Claire Bergin, who celebrated her 24^th birthday on Sunday. Claire finished 2^nd in the 400m heats in 57.19;  3^rd in semi-final  55.64 and 4^th in the final in 55.85,  - it’s looking good for 2009! Nick Hogan finished 5^th in the semi-final of  the men’s 400m in 48.43, with Jonathan Miller 3^rd in his heat in 49.66.  John Crowley was 3^rd in his heat of the 60m in 7.23 and Zita Murphy finished 4^th in her 60m in 8.03.
