Once again, medals were really hard to earn! We had several near misses - the closest to a bronze was Shane Mullins, who missed a medal by 1cm in the long jump! He leapt 4.20m to get 4th place in the boys u\12 LJ. Joseph Haliwax was also 4th - this time in the 60mh, where he finished in 9.54 secs. in the u/14 event.

Other notable results were a 5th place in the 60mh from Rachel Dunne in the u/12 girls event; 6th place in  the u/12 LJ  from Tara Jenkins who leapt 3.84m and two 8th places - Laoise Gleeson in the u/12 600m in 2:01.29 and 8th place in the u/12 60m sprint from Sarah Torrance in 9.35 secs.Its great to see so many of our younger athletes making All-Ireland finals! There will be plenty of time to win medals over the next few years.

Well done to all of the DSD coaches working at juvenile level and also a big thank you to all of the parents who have supported the club and the athletes. Special mention should go to the Parents Committee who are doing such a great job supporting the coaches and athletes!
