 *** Updated Wednesday 06/10 with Photos ***Fiona McKenna put up an excellent performance in the Phoenix Park yesterday when she led from start to finish to win the Dublin Novice Cross-County title and she also led D.S.D. to team victory. Sinead Denny was joint leader for three quarters of the race and eventually finished 5th over a race a long way off her usual 800m track distance. Carol Huet was also prominent early on and ran a good race to finish 13th. Sheelagh Jones finished brilliantly to achieve 12th position ensuring that D.S.D. took the gold medals. The other team members were Lisa Banahan, Lisa Shine, Kate Prendergast and Emer Kenny. In the men's Novice race Emmet Jennings opened his season with a 2nd placing to John Travers of Donore. This was a high class race with the two top juniors of last year battling it out. Other members of the men's team were Kian Jennings, Jonathan Shallow and Garrett Banahan. Well done to all!
