Congratulations to Hazel Murphy, David Gillick and Deirdre Ryan on their selection for the 2nd European Team Competition in Budapest, Hungary on 19th and 20th June. This is the only time in the season that AAI send a full men's and women's senior team to an athletics event. Hazel will go in the 5,000m where she will be hoping to improve on her PB and to get within the qualifying time for the European Championships later in the year. David will run in the 400m and the 4x400m relay, while Deirdre will go in the high jump. Lucy Moore will also travel, as jumps coach to the team.

 Congratulations also to Siofra Cleirigh Buttner, who has been selected as one of a 24 strong squad to participate in a preparatory training camp for next year's European Youth Olympics in Turkey. The camp will be held in Romania and is run under the auspices of the Olympic Council. It should be a great experience!
