Deirdre Ryan was competing in Cottbus, Germany where she came 2nd in the high jump with a clearance of 1.87m.

Hazel Murphy ran in Hengelo, Netherlands in the 5,000m. She finished 21st in 16:11.65 in wet and windy conditions which mitigated against fast times. Better luck next time Hazel!
