 Congratulations to our medalists this year - Nick Hogan took gold in the 400m in 48.59 sec. Hazel Murphy smashed her 3km PB to run 9:05 - just 2 seconds outside the qualifying standard for Doha! "I'm delighted", Hazel said afterwards, "My coach Karl Byrne was hoping for 9:10, so this is fantastic! I'm hoping to run faster next weekend at the AAA's and hopefully get the time for Doha". Good luck in Sheffied at AAA's Hazel! John Crowley and Patch Phelan made the semis in a tough 60m. Aoife MacNeill ran her first indoor race for a number of years and just missed out on a place in the final - well done Aoife & welcome back!. Ciaran Cronin was 5th in the TJ in a new indoor pb of 12.07m. Mark Kavanagh won his heat of the 200m in fine style. This race was run very late on Saturday night. Earlier on, Sinead Denny had gained good experience going in the 800m. Several races still had to be run on Sunday night when this coach had to head back to Dublin! Additional results to be added tomorrow!
