"The focus this weekend was on the throws - Saturday 28th marked the 10th Annual Meeting of the Irish Throwers Club Championships. DSD was represented in the Masters age groups by Michael McGarry and Lucy Moore, who competed in the Weights Pentathlon. Both won their respective age groups. Sunday 29th saw an excellent workshop in Santry on hammer throwing, given by Olympic athlete, Paddy McGrath. Everyone got lots of encouragement and new ideas to work on over the Winter. Any club members wanting to try out the hammer should get in touch with Lucy Moore, either at training or through the email link on the website."
