Unfortunately day 2 in Doha did not bring much luck to the DSD contingent. First up was Nick Hogan in the mens' 4x400m relay. Nick unfortunately hurt his hamstring on the first lap and was not able to get the baton around as quickly as he would have liked. The Irish team ended up 6th in 3:13.00, a little slower than they had hoped for. All eyes were then on David Gillick in this evening's final of the 400m. Unfortunately the race did not go David's way and he ended up 5th and was later disqualified for an infringement. We all hope David bounces back quickly and we are looking forward to watching him again in the European Championships in Barcelona at the end of July!
