Big congratulations to Emmet Jennings on his formal selection on the Irish Team for the World Junior Championships in Monkton, Canada! A nine strong team of seven men and two women has been selected and the team will depart on Tuesday. The qualifying standards for this event are very high and we are proud to have a representative on the Irish Team this year! Go Emmet, we'll be watching your progress!

Also is good form was David Gillick who won the 400m event in Barcelona last night. David ran under 45 seconds again, to back up his recent 44.95 in Switzerland and seems to be coming into form at just the right moment! This was a great chance for David to have a run out on the track that will be used for the European Championships later in the month! David runs in the 100m in this weekend's National Senior Championships in Santry.
