Dublin County Board’s Graded Meets start up again next Wednesday 16th April in Irishtown at 7pm. Events on 16th include 1500m, 400m, 100m, as well has hammer, shot and long jump. Entries can be taken on the night (€8 for seniors and €5 for Juniors). Full details are available on the Dublin Athletics Board website.

David Gillick opened up his Olympic campaign with a 46.39 sec run over 400m at the Mt. Sac Relays in sunny California last weekend. David has been enjoying a spell of warm weather training in the USA.
There was a great showing by DSD Athletes - from many 3rd level institutions - at last weekend's Intervarsities Championships in Irishtown.
Leading results are listed below (apologies to anyone I left out). Conditions were arctic - strong winds and very cold! It was more like cross country weather!

MEN
400m - 1st- Nick Hogan - 49.75 sec; 4th Adrian Toolan - 51.17; 7th - John Flemming - 52.77
400mh - 1st - Jonathan Miller - 54.76 sec
800m - 4th - Neil Cowzer - 2:02.94; 5th - Shane Cowzer - 2:02.96

Meanwhile, our USA based athletes continue to compete strongly. Results there include a 4:45.34 1500m run by Aisling Baker, a 9:42.27 3000m run by Laura Huet and 9:52.47 at 3k for Breffni Twohig.
