Lucy Moore wins Gold at World Masters Indoors
Results from the World Masters Indoor Championships, held in Clermond-Ferrand, France over the Easter break.

Lucy Moore won the F50 High Jump event in a new Irish Age Group Record of 1.39m. Lucy was one of two gold medallists on the Irish Team. She also came 4th in the Triple Jump, in 8.70m and 6th in the shot putt with 9.25m. Excellent result and weel done to Lucy.


British Master Championships - Picketts Lock, London Feb 23/24
Congratulations to the DSD Masters athletes who competed in these championships.

Leading results from our home based athletes were as follows:-
Michael McGarry (M75) - 1st shot putt - 10.06m; 3rd weight - 10.18m; 1st - Discus - 32.39m
Lucy Moore (W50) - 2nd shot putt - 9.65m (Irish Age Group record)

Leading results from our UK based athletes were as follows:-
Wally Franklin (M55) - 1st 400m - 55.93 sec (UK Age Group record); 2nd 0 60m - 7.75 secs
Pat Logan (M45) - 1st - 60m - 7.36 secs; 2nd - 200m - 24.05 secs.


Ballycotton 10

Also congratulations to Joan Coyle, who won the Womens V6 age group in the prestigious Ballycotton 10. Joan's winning time was faster that that of the winner in the younger age group!
