 What a day for DSD women. Winning Individual Gold (Charlotte FFrench-O'Carroll) and Individual Silver (Rebecca FFrench-O'Carroll), and Team Gold with Niamh Denny (8th Individual) and Sinead Denny (9th Individual), the team score of 20 points overall must be one of the lowest ever in the competion - 4 in the top 10, and to think that all are eligible to compete in the competition again next year. Next it was the turn of our senior women, and with Maria McCambridge finishing a solid 2nd (to Fionnuala Britton's impressive demonstration of front running) followed by Linda Byrne in 3rd, Niamh Devlin 8th, and Bryony Treston 10th, they easily collected the team gold. Again the team total of 23 points (with all 4 finishers in the top 10) must make it one of the lowest in the competition to date. Our mens team, both junior and senior, were depleted through injuries. Nevertheless our senior men were 4th overall, led home by John Eves, recording his best ever finish at Interclubs, in 11th place overall, followed in order by Craig Longmore, Jonny Hartnett, Neil Cowzer, and Cathal Jenkinson.
