Congratulations to all our athletes who competed last weekend!

First up was the AAI Masters Championships in Nenagh on 16th Feb. George Wyatt cleared 5.42m to grab 2nd in the M40 LJ. Kevin Byrne was back in action again, after medalling at the Master's Pentathlon and he got silver in the M35 HJ, clearing 1.60m and got bronze in the LJ, in 5m. Peadar McGing competed in the M50 age group and got 2nd in the HJ (1.45m). 3rd in the 60m (8.38 secs) and 4th in the shot (9.40m).

Next day it was the turn of the Juniors. Only a couple of DSD athletes made the journey to Nenagh on Sunday 17th for the AAI National Junior C'ships, but they were rewarded with good performances. Blaithin Jones came 2nd in the HJ with a new pb pf 1.60m. She also came 4th in the 60mh in 10.35 secs. Kate Bermingham came 4th in the HJ, equalling her pb of 1.50m.

There was also Cross Country action last weekend and two of our leading seniors were running in the Eurocross in Luxembourg. Well done to Linda Byrne, who finished 8th in 18:00, and to Hazel Murphy (fresh from action in the UK AAA's) who finished 13th in 18:33.
