Typical Meet & Train Group Training Phases
Winter through to June, we work on building base fitness as well as developing more speed and endurance for us all.
Then maintain fitness levels for racing through May-June.
- Tuesdays (Tempo & Fartlek) (Stretch & Core work after run)
- Thursdays (Steady Run) (Stretch & Core work after run)
- Saturdays (Speed Work).
- Sundays (Longer slow run).
- This format until end of April.
From July onwards some of the group will gear their training towards the Dublin Race Series, 10km; 10mile and Half Marathon and more and more of the group are now taking part in the Dublin City Marathon each year.
By the way - Training is ALWAYS ON, if it rains, so what, you’ll enjoy your run even more.
