Haul of Medals for D.S.D at Leinsters!

DSD had a great showing at the Leinster Indoors in Abbottstown yesterday with 22 athletes competing and coming home with a significant haul of medals in a broad range of age groups and events, spanning Junior to O65.

Maxine Jones, in her debut Indoor Competition, managed to set two new National age group records;   W60 1500m(5.49) and 800m (2.55).  Peadar McGing ( M60 ) set a new Leinster record in the 200m, also earning Gold in the 60m and 400m. Sophie Murphy continues to impress after her recent run of cross country accomplishments, this time in the Junior Women’s 3000m. Looking fluid and relaxed throughout, Sophie took Gold in a significant PB of 9.45. Next across the finish line in the same race was Fiona Clinton, to take the Senior Women’s title in a time of 9.58. It was also great to see Mark Kavanagh back and running well, getting Silver in both the Senior Men’s 60m and 200m.
