A mixed group of Senior, Master and Junior athletes travelled to the NIA Abbotstown at the weekend for Leinster Indoor Championships, and came home laden with medals.
Kate Doherty took a rest from the hurdles to win the 60m (7.77) and 200m (25.58 Final; 24.94 Heat) and also played a big part in the women’s 4 x 200 relay win.

David Dagg was a very busy athlete winning the High Jump 1.70; 4th 60m hurdles 10.46; 4th Long Jump 5.93; 4x200m relay 2nd (David; Hugh Gowing; Killian Waldron; Ronan Gately). Israel Nworgu 3rd 60m hurdles 9.35.
Kevin Byrne 1st M45 High Jump 1.70; Ronan Gately 1st M50 High Jump & 1st Pole Vault 2.20.

The senior women also ran 4 x 200m relay finishing 1st 1.48.97 (Rachel Dunne; Orla Walsh; Emer Finlay; Kate Doherty. Orla finished 3rd 200m 27.27, and Emer 3rd 60m 8.48. Emma Coffey Nguyen 3rd Long Jump 4.82.
Canaan St. Lewis won the Junior men’s 1500m 4.10.41; Abbie Taylor 1st 3,000m 10.07.34; Sheelagh Jones 1st W.60 1500m 5.53.41; Annette Kehoe 3rd W.50 1500m 6.04.80.
Well done also to Siofra Cleirigh Buttner and Zak Curran who ran very well at European Indoor Championships in Glasgow, just failing to make the finals.
