Laura Gallagher continued on her winning ways, whilst taking the U.17 Girls 60m hurdles title, at the National Juvenile Championships in Athlone yesterday. Cian Dunne, U.17 Boys, was just pipped for first, taking the silver medal, with David Bosch, just back from illness, finishing a gallant 4th in the U.16 Boys hurdles final. Liam Jenkins jumped 1.80 in the U.18 Boys High Jump, finishing 3rd.
Charlotte Bourke took bronze in the U.18 Girls 400m, with Jack Moraghan 4th U.19 Boys. Ciaran Carthy was very impressive in the U.19 Boys 400m heat finishing first, but did not contest the final due to muscle tightness.
Matthew McCarthy finished 4th in the U.12 60m showing great determination. Erika Doyle continues to improve but just missed out making the final of the U.17 Girls 200m finishing 3rd.
Well done to all!
