National Indoor Championships, Belfast : Hazel Murphy is the champion in the womens 3000m with a time of 9.26.99. She was 2nd to Kenyan, Mercy Njoroge by 0.69 secs - must have been some finish. Also Nick Hogan is national champ in the mens 400m with a time of 49.44, finishing 0.39 secs behind Leeds City athlete Richard Strachan. Results are on the AAI site. In the Raheny 5, Maria McCambridge won the womens event in 26.20 with Niamh Devlin 3rd in 28.17.
