Well done to Niamh Devlin who finished 3rd in the Woking Half Marathon, in England on Sunday. It was won by Liz Yelling, with J. Bushe 2nd and Niamh 3rd in 77 mins. |

Congratulations to Nick Hogan on his selection for the 400m and 4 x 400m in this weekend's Celtic International in Cardiff. This follows on Nick's excellent performances in the Odyssey at the National Senior Championships last Sunday - see details in separate report. |

National Indoor Championships, Belfast : Hazel Murphy is the champion in the womens 3000m with a time of 9.26.99. She was 2nd to Kenyan, Mercy Njoroge by 0.69 secs - must have been some finish. Also Nick Hogan is national champ in the mens 400m with a time of 49.44, finishing 0.39 secs behind Leeds City athlete Richard Strachan. Results are on the AAI site. In the Raheny 5, Maria McCambridge won the womens event in 26.20 with Niamh Devlin 3rd in 28.17.

Some results from the weekend. Blaithin Jones, 2nd U/18 with 2672pts, at the National Indoor Combined Events, in Nenagh. Laura Huet, running for Stony Brook College won the mile race in 4.59.17 at the NYC Gotham Cup Armory Track & Field Center, NYC. |

Stormont Results by Fionn Cleirigh-Buttner
DSD places at Stormont today (Jan 5) - Juveniles : Siofra Cleirigh Buttner 3rd, Fionn Cleirigh-Buttner 16th, Patrick Elliot 19th, Sorcha Humphries 22nd, Bill Crosby 37th - all in their various age groups. Also running in the combined U/17 & U/20 were Sinead (13th) & Niamh Denny (21st) and Carol Huet 23rd. In the senior womens, Linda Byrne 5th, Maria McCambridge 11th, and Niamh Devlin 21st.
