It has been a busy four weeks! The contractor came on site in mid July, and has been hard at it since. Great progress has been made stripping the soil before we dig out the track. DSD has regular meetings with the contractor to keep things humming nicely.
The car park has had its initial plate testing completed and ducting and stone can now start in the next few weeks.
A lot of time has been put into agreeing the details with the ESB on rerouting of cabling underground: the result will be less electricity poles on site, meaning a more open and safer place for athletics.
Overall pace is good. However, it's a marathon and keeping a steady pace is key to getting this phase over the line.
