Santa hosts Meet & Train Awards!

DSD Athletics Sports Campus, Saturday 23rd December Once Meet & Train could catch a breath after Gary's intensive speed session, they spotted Santa on the horizon laden with a big sack of goodies! Before launching into the Awards, Santa presented a Christmas hamper on behalf of Meet & Train to Gary and Maria as a small token of gratitude for the amazing coaching they have given us in 2023. A year of PBs for most of Meet & Train! Then, with the help of his little Elf Tadhg, Santa gave out the Meet & Train 2023 Awards. The winners this year are: Liam McCambridge: Last Man Standing Award Colm Moriarty: Most Colourful attire Award John O'Grady: Best Jump Award Paul Croke: Best Race Organiser & Caterer Award Sorcha Ní Riain: Best Newcomer of 2023 John Hosey: Mountain Goat Award Valerie Gorman: Best Recruiter Award Simon Cotter: Maddest Race Schedule Award Cynthia O'Neill: Best Fall Award Tim Wise: Star Baker Award Declan Flanagan: Most Punctual Award Sarah & Grace Colton: Pregnant 10K Award Nathan Speedy Gonzalez: Best Pacer Award Clare Flanagan: Princess Award Thanks to Santa - Captain Darren Clifford - and the Meet & Train Committee for organising.
