Bronze for Pappy in Santry!

Well done to our small group of athletes in action at the weekend at the National Junior and U.23 Track & Field Championships, in Santry. We had several of our athletes missing because of Leaving Cert. Patrick Tucker returned from a year away from athletics, to win bronze in the Junior 400m, putting in a great effort in the finish straight. Molly Hourihan finished 4th in the U.23 200m and 5th 400m. Cian Dunne, recovering from injury, ran a very good leg with the national 4 x 400m team, seeking qualifying time, on Saturday. He then won his heat in the 400m on Sunday, and despite a very good start in the 400m final the effort got the better of him and he ran out of steam in the finish straight dropping back to 6th position.
