More Medals for Masters in Tullamore!

D.S.D. Masters were out in full force yesterday in Tullamore for the National Masters Track & Field Championships. Peadar McGing M60 kept himself busy all day bagging four gold medals, 100m 13.46; 200m 28.21; 400m 65.25; Long Jump 4.50. Con Hearty M80 won gold for his 6.49.33 800m. Shane Sheridan M55 was his usual speedy self grabbing gold in the 100m 12.33 and 200m 25.73. Kevin Byrne M45 2nd High Jump 1.55; 3rd Long Jump 4.90 Mike Burke 2nd 100m M40 12.17. Ronan Gately M45 won two bronze medals, 100 12.85 and 200m 26.09. In the women’s section Cathryn Brady W50 took gold in the1500m 5.27.19 and bronze 800m 2.44.21. Maxine Jones W.60 won three silver medals 800m 2.55.02; 1500m 5.47.36 and 3000m 12.13.48. This augurs well for the D.S.D Masters heading to Aarhus Denmark on July 28th, for European Masters.
