Days 1 & 2 National Juvenile Track & Field Championships

Stand out athletes for D.S.D., after Day 1 and Day 2 of the National Juvenile Track and Field Championships were; Cian Dunne 1st U.16 100m hurdles 14.08 (PB) and 3rd 100m 11.60 (PB); Laura Gallagher 1st U.16 Girls 80m hurdles 11.79 (PB) and Aaron Donnelly 1st U.19 Steeplechase 9.43.21. Others to impress were Emma Ryan 2nd U.18 800m 2.16.10 and Liam Jenkins 2nd U.17 High Jump 1.83. Liam’s jump was even more impressive as he only returned to training after damaging his ankle when competing in Dublin Championships. Other bronze medal winners; Roisin Healy U.17 Long Jump 5.28 (PB); Ben Jones U.18 400m 52.06 and Grace Dervan U.19 800m 2.18.02. Other Placings: Rebecca Carthy 4th U.14 2,000m walk; Morgan Clarkson 4th U.16 3,000m 9.35.35; Gavin Doran 5th U.17 100m 11.16 (PB); Darcy Hutter 5th U.12 60m; Cara Murphy 5th U.16 80m hurdles 12.24; Molly Hourihan 6th U.18 400m 59.54 (1st Heat 58.81); Grace Dervan 6th U.19 400m 61.09; Hannah Murray 7th U.16 hurdles; Molly Mullally 7th U14 Long Jump & 7th Hammer; Emma Roche 7th U.17 Shot; Abi Kenneddy 8th 75m hurdles final and 8th Shot; Aimee Kenna 9th U.16 800 2.26.70; Faye Dervan 7th U.17 800m 2.26.87.
