DUBLIN JUVENILE U11-U19 UNEVEN AGE XC CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS 2025
Dublin Juvenile U11-U19 Uneven Age XC Championships Results 2025 Hi all, This year’s Dublin Uneven Age XC Championships has been a three day extravaganza with the U19’s travelling to Kilbeggan with the Junior and Seniors on Saturday at the Leinster XC Championships, followed by the U11 – U19 Age Groups who competed in Abbotstown on Sunday with an extended program which left plenty of time to enjoy the sunshine on the day and this coming Sunday we will round out the Championships with our U9’s who will compete as part of League 3 at Tymon Park. The rescheduling of these Championships has involved an enormous amount of work behind the scenes – and we would particularly like to acknowledge Cecil for his exhausting endeavours and his unwavering commitment to the Juvenile Athletes across Dublin County! We would like to congratulate all DSDAC athletes who took part in the Dublin Juvenile Uneven Age Cross Country Championships over the weekend in both Kilbeggan and Abbotstown - for some it was their first Championships while others are seasoned competitors – we were delighted to see so many smiling faces over the weekend. An enormous thank you must go out to our DSD volunteers over the weekend – Gary, Robbie, Maarten – who helped construct the course on Saturday, volunteered on Sunday and helped take down the course at the end of the day and those who stepped in when required. A special thank you to Gary who assisted all weekend and his apprentice in training who now adds XC course take down to her impressive list of talents along with tent construction! Without the generosity and active participation of all Clubs in providing volunteers these events could not go ahead and Dublin County Board would also like to extend their thanks to all Club officials. Thank you also must go to our fantastic coaches for their commitment and dedication who ensured that their athletes were well prepared for the Championships and were full of enthusiasm and support on the day! Particular thanks must go to Donal for his impressive translocation efforts over the weekend to support his athletes – training at Campus Saturday morning, followed by a road trip to Kilbeggan in the afternoon, then starting Sunday morning off at Abbotstown before heading back to Campus for training afterwards! A special mention and many congratulations must go to the athletes and teams who won medals on the day and will be going on to represent the Club at the National Juvenile Uneven Age Cross Country Championships which will be held at the National XC Course, Abbotstown on Sunday 7 th December 2025 . Many congratulations to Sophia who won a Silver Championships Medal stepping up an Age Group in the U13s and to our U15 Girls, U15 Boys, U19 Girls and Junior Girls who also won Team Medals over the weekend! Qualifying Positions for Nationals: · The top 10 in the U12/14/16/18 age groups qualify to represent Dublin as a County team. · The top 12 in the U12/14/16/18 age groups qualify to represent Dublin as a Provincial team. · The first 4 teams qualify for the Inter Clubs in the same age groups. Dublin U11-U19 Uneven Age XC Championships Results 2025 11 DSD athletes will be representing Dublin County and 14 DSD athletes will be representing Dublin Province across all 5 Age Groups (U11, U13, U15, U17 & U19) with 8 DSD Teams going on to represent the Club at Nationals. Coaches will be in touch to confirm the Teams that will be competing at Nationals. If individual athletes could confirm their availability for Nationals ASAP please. NOTE: Qualifying Teams will be selected and confirmed by Coaches. NOTE: U17 & U19 athletes who entered but did not compete in Dublin can request Direct Entry to Nationals If athletes could please let me know if you would like to compete in Nationals and I will request Direct Entry – once you were entered in Dublins.
