DUBLIN JUVENILE UNEVEN AGE, SENIOR & JUNIOR XC CHAMPIONSHIPS 2025
Dublin Juvenile Uneven Age Cross Country Championships 2025 Citywest, Sunday 2 nd November, 2025 Dear Parents and Guardians The Dublin Uneven Age Championships will be held on Sunday 2 nd November in Citywest for U9/U11/U13/U15/U19 athletes. Clubs can enter as many athletes as they like in each age group with athletes competing both as an individual and as part of a team, the first 4 across the line are counted for Club team results. Athletes may step up a year for Cross Country Championships in consultation with Age Group Coaches. Coaches will always consider the younger athlete’s welfare and ability to compete in the older age group, which is often a step up in distance as well as age. Ages Categories: · U8 (born 2018 – U8’s can step up to U9) · U9 (born 2017) · U10 (born 2016) · U11 (born 2015) · U12 (born 2014) · U13 (born 2013) · U14 (born 2012) · U15 (born 2011) · U16 (born 2010) · U17 (born 2009) · U18 (born 2008) Note: · U19 athletes can score in both U19 & Junior Competitions – provided they've entered both · U17 athletes can enter and run Junior Competition – in order to request a bye for U17 Nationals, they must also enter Dublin U17 Championships. However they will not be included in the Dublin U17 County/Regional Teams as they did not contest the U17 Championships (only the Junior Championships) National Qualification The first 10 athletes in the U11/U13/U15/U17/U19 contests qualify to represent Dublin as the County Team and the first 12 qualify to represent Dublin as the Provincial Team. 4 teams also qualify in each of these age groups (panel of 6) U9 Championships is a Dublin ONLY competition. Entries must be submitted by 10pm Friday 24 th October. Volunteer Officials As with all events, it is a condition that all clubs provide officials. In order to ensure that our coaches can concentrate on their athletes we look to parents to help when required and your co-operation will be much appreciated. Please let us know if you are available via the online entry form and we aim to schedule volunteers on a rota basis throughout the day to share the load.
