West Leinster Track & Field Championships

Well done to D.S.D., athletes, who were in action for their schools, at the West Leinster Track & Field Championships in Santry. James Holden was the first in action with an impressive performance in the Senior Boys 400m, finishing 1st and he followed this up with a second place in the 200m. Rachel Dunne took a break from her Leaving Cert studies to win the Senior Girls 400m hurdles, and not to be outdone her brother Cian took gold in the Junior Boys 80m hurdles and silver in the 200m. Iida Bradshaw(photo) was 1st Shot Putt and 3rd Long Jump, Minor Girls. Bianca Shakeshaft won the Senior Girls Steeplechase.
