In what was a superb run in the sunny city of Seville last Sunday morning, Paul O’Donnell ran the second fastest time ever by an Irishman, running 2.09.19 for the 26.2mile distance. Paul's time is also an A standard for this summers European Championships to be held in Birmingham. Paul settled into a group at the top of the race being paced to a 2.09 marathon. Congratulations to our Women’s team on finishing 1st in the final of the National Indoor League in the N.I.A today and to our Men’s team on finishing in 3rd place.    There was a great effort shown by both our teams with many personal bests registered.  Well done also to all involved in organising the teams (especially our club captains) and to all the supporters who cheered on our teams, and our younger athletes, who turned out in force, thanks to John for organising the bus.
