Dear member,
Sometimes it seems we will never repay the debt we owe so many DSD legends and volunteers who built such a great club. They are truly the giants on whose shoulders we stand on looking to build a bigger and better club for the future.
I know, I and my family have gotten so much from our involvement with DSD over the years in terms of friendships, fun and all the benefits that come from training and competing in the various track and field disciplines.
As the largest athletics club in Dublin, we have great plans for the future, as you know. The club has purchased a site at Saint Thomas where we hope to have running trails, sprint tracks, top class facilities for throwers and jumpers. Our ambitious plans are for safe and fun facilities for our juvenile members, training facilities for everyone from social runners to elite competitors, from juveniles to masters and covering all the track and field disciplines. We want to offer top class facilities for all our members regardless of age or ability.

We rely on raising our own funds in the main and that is why events like the Twilight 5k are so important in raising funds for the club in helping us realise our dreams. We really need your help and I am asking that all members and parents would try to organise to enter a team of walkers, runners or joggers. Individual entries are also welcome.
As you know the Twilight 5k run takes place on Thursday, September 29th starting at 7.30pm around Sandyford.
