Dear Members,
We regret to advise that DSDAC, in line with the Government’s recent announcement, is further reiterating the cancellation of all Club organised training & competition until at least 18th May 2020. A review group by Members of the Club Board will continue to monitor Government, HSE & Athletics Ireland guidelines in the oncoming weeks to further advise members on Club recommencement of organised training. Further to the recent Government publication of the “Road map for Reopening Society & Business”, we will be engaging with our coaches shortly to agree how best we can implement our own road map in line with Athletics Ireland, HSE and the Government plan. We will update members as soon as this plan has been agreed and is ready to be implemented.
This message does not restrict members from privately continuing a healthy lifestyle. I would additionally note that use of Club changing rooms in Marlay Park is not permitted during this period. In line with HSE and our Government’s advice, the Board of the Club advises all households and individuals to comply with the guidelines to maintain social distancing of 2 metres, to wash your hands regularly and to adhere to the Governmental road map for reopening society and business. Regarding competitive fixtures for athletics for the remainder of 2020 the Club will take its direction from Athletics Ireland and its decisions around such fixtures.
