Firstly, apologies for the delayed issue of this entry form (Entry Form Link). There was confusion on my part regarding the date of submission for entries. In this regard I would appreciate if you could complete and return the entry form to me by this Thursday (24th January 2019). The club must submit the entries to the Dublin Athletics Board (DAB) on Friday (25/01/18), entries after this date will not be accepted by the DAB. Forms can be returned to coaches at training (Irishtown on Wednesday or BCS on Thursday) or emailed to damiendsdac@gmail.com.

Please note the entry form is for individual events, relays will be selected and submitted by coaches. You will be advised by your coaches if your child is selected for a relay squad.

The following are the schedule of events for each day of the Championships. Please refer to these schedules to ensure the event corresponds with the day set out in the form.

· Day 1. Friday 1st February. (Ignore page 2 of this document as it’s not relevant).

Schedule Correction: Kindly note the relay distance for the U10 (Day 1) and U11 (Day 2) is 4 x 100m, NOT 4 x 200m as shown in the schedule of events.

Parent Volunteers

As with all Dublin competitions (Championships or Leagues), clubs are required to provide officials to help on the day. Our coaches are tied up with the athletes, for this reason we look to the parents to help. As you will see from the form it is a condition of your child’s entry for a parent of each athlete to officiate for at least one hour. In this regard, I would appreciate if you complete the volunteer section of the form.

Abbotstown 19th Jan. (Lost Item).

Last Saturday (19th January) we had a training session in the Indoor Arena at Abbotstown. Over 90 athletes turned out during the course of our 3 hour session. It was noted by all our coaches how well the athletes behaved and their eagerness to learn. We managed to cram a lot in those few hours. Thank you to all the parents who helped out on the day, your help is invaluable and very much appreciated.

Finally, please note a hockey sweatshirt (picture below) was mislaid in Abbotstown that day. I would appreciate if you could check your child’s gear bag in case they picked it up by mistake. The name of the owner is on a tag in the sweatshirt. It can be returned to any of the coaches for my attention.
