This week reflecting on Super Saturday/Sunday when the club’s talents were showcased.  In the storied club history, not many weekends have yielded as much success.

The multi events saw outstanding performances from the juvenile cohort and the masters, capped by Lorcan Murphy’s and Louise King’s performance in the senior.

Now think of how many people contributed to these successes including the masters coaching and mentoring the juveniles.

Then the amazing ‘treble double’ by the long-distance pack with Senior endurance group and Meet Train Race.

Finally, the medal won by Eimear at the Europeans, an overnight success after 10 years.

It’s not an accident that this is the most successful club in Ireland at the moment.  It’s the product of a massive volunteer effort, building and maintaining the campus, encouraging young athletes, fund raising with the mini marathon and so on.

This weekend the men’s and women’s track and field teams will try to win the National League titles.   Win or lose, we will celebrate afterwards.
