Dublin Juvenile Cross Country League 3 Tymon Park Sunday 28th November 2021

The Grand Finale of the Dublin Juvenile Cross Country League Season will take place in Tymon Park this coming Sunday, 28th November 2021

The XC Leagues are open to all registered members from U9 (2013) upwards and are a great introduction to a competition event in a relaxed fun setting. We would like to invite all athletes to participate – those who have already taken part in one or both of the Leagues so far and particularly to those athletes who may not have ventured out onto the Cross Country Course so far this season!

You don’t need to pre-register for the League just turn up on the day and register at the DSD Flag with a DSD Official to receive your race number.

· 1st race at 11am (note times are approximate)

· Register and get your number at the DSD flag/tent

· Please be there at least an hour before to allow registration and warm up

· Club Singlet must be worn (please contact Carol ASAP if you DO NOT have a singlet - carolhealydsdac@gmail.com)

· Be prepared for all types of weather

· Bring food and drink as delays can happen

NOTE:

Please note Coaches will be on hand to warm-up athletes and will also walk the course at least 40 minutes before race start time. It is important that you be on-time as Coaches are unable to wait to start warm-up and walk the course.

Please refer to the attached documents for Directions, Race Schedule & Distances, Age Categories, League 1 & 2 Results.

Note: Race distances are reduced as it is only 1 week before the National Uneven Age Championships.

Volunteers/Officials

Clubs are required to provide volunteers at all events. In order to ensure that our coaches can concentrate on their athletes we look to parents to help when required and your co-operation will be much appreciated. Please let us know if you are available

League 1 and 2 Results:

Each athlete is awarded 10 points for finishing the race and the first 20 athletes to cross the Finish Line receive bonus points. The points are accumulated over the three League races to determine the overall winners. The top scoring 6 athletes receive a medal at the end of the League.

BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OUR ATHLETES!

Yours in Sport,

Sharon Wilson
