We look forward to the start of the 2026 T&F Season with the 1st of the Dublin Juvenile T&F Leagues this coming Sunday 26th April in Irishtown!

We have over 200 entries from DSD athletes – for some it will be their first taste of competition, some will be trying new events and hopefully everyone will enjoy the experience!

Venue Location:              Irishtown Stadium

                                             D04KN77

Please note amendments to the initial Day 1 Timetable

Athletes should arrive at least one hour before their first event to allow time to:

-        collect your number from the DSD Official

-        and to allow sufficient time for warm-up

Please remember events can be brought forward by up to 45mins before scheduled times, therefore it is important to be there at least 1 hour before.

NOTES:

·        Numbers will be collected by DSD Club Official

  • Club singlets must be worn

  • Be prepared for all types of weather

  • Bring water/food as delays can happen

  • Parents and supporters are not permitted on the track or infield areas.

  • Please cooperate with, abide by and respect the decisions of the voluntary officials and organisers of the competitions.

  • Everyone in attendance should help keep the facilities we use clear of rubbish. Please use rubbish bins where they are provided or bring your rubbish with you when leaving!

LEAGUES:

  • U10 & U11 – Medals will be awarded on the day as this is a T&F Competition

  • U12-U16 – points will be cumulative over the 3 T&F Leagues

  • Please retain numbers for all 3 T&F League Events

  • Field events – 3 throws/jumps per athlete

  • In the event of contests clashing, officials will show flexibility, ie if a competitor is involved in long jump contest and a track event/other field event is called, he/she will be facilitated to participate in both, but must inform the official(s).

VOLUNTEERS

A sincere thank you to all of our parents who have generously put their names forward to volunteer for League 1 - your generosity has made the job of providing names to the Dublin Juvenile Competition Committee so much easier and is most appreciated.

The day has been split into a morning and afternoon session - please ensure that you arrive as requested and stay for the duration of your session – in some cases this will be to the end of an event or until the next DSD volunteer arrives to take over.

Don’t worry if this is your first time volunteering – there will always be an expert on hand to provide guidance for each event!

We would also like to thank our fantastic Coaches who have prepared their athletes so well and will be attending on the day – your commitment and dedication is most appreciated and we look forward to kicking off the 2026 T&F Season!

Please be advised, the timetable is subject to change without notice, events could be earlier or later than the scheduled time.

Please remember that all officials are volunteers and to respect their requests and direction during the Championships.

PARKING

Please note that there is very little parking at Irishtown Stadium and on roads close by.

On street parking can be found a little further away in the wider area past the park on Cambridge Road, South Lotts Road, Bath Avenue etc. Please allow for 15/20 minute walk. There is some paid parking available 15 minutes’ walk away at the Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium on South Lotts Road (overflow access at signs for Sportsco).

If using on street parking please consider the residents and do not obstruct their entrances, and refrain from parking in the housing estate between the stadium and Sean Moore Road so as not to infringe on residents.

We would like to discourage people from parking at (other than core officials) or approaching

the stadium due to very narrow roads.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

For public transport the Stadium is served by the following bus routes  C1, C2, 47, S2 and 82

all within 3 minutes walking distance, also the C3, C4, C5 and C6 have termini 15-minute

walk away as is the Dart station at Lansdowne Road.

Wishing all our athletes the best on Sunday – we look forward to seeing you there!

Please don’t hesitate to make contact if you have any questions.

Yours in sport
