Well done to all athletes who competed in the recent Dublin Juvenile T&F Leagues 1 & 2, U9/U10/U11 Dublin Teams Championships and Day 1 of the Dublin Juvenile T&F Championships!
And looking forward to the triple header this weekend with Day 2, Day 3 & Day 4 of the Dublin Juvenile T&F Championships!
A sincere thank you to all of our coaches that were in attendance over the course of the previous two T&F Leagues, the Team Championships and Day 1 of the T&F Championships and who prepared their athletes for these Competitions – we couldn’t do it without you!
And thank you also to all of the parents who volunteered their time to help at the Dublin Leagues and Championships – your generosity was most appreciated!
Below is the schedule of the final Dublin T&F League which is hosted by DSD at our home track:
League 3 Sunday 14th June @ 11.00am DSD AC (L3 Schedule of Events)
Entries Close Date is Friday 5th June at 10pm
Combined Results of League 1 and 2.
How do the Leagues work?
The T&F Leagues are a Dublin only Competition for U10 – U16 Age Groups.
Medals will be awarded on the day for U10s & U11s as this is a T&F Competition.
For U12 – U16 Age Groups points are awarded to the top six athletes in each event. The top 6 athletes with the highest points accumulated over the three Leagues will receive awards - Trophies to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place and Medals to 4th, 5th & 6th place.
So the more events you enter – the more opportunities you have of accumulating points!
Points are awarded to the top 6 athletes in each event as follows:
1st 7 points
2nd 5 points
3rd 4 points
4th 3 points
5th 2 points
6th 1 point
The Leagues are a relaxed introduction to T&F Competitions. They are a great opportunity for athletes to try new events. We would encourage all athletes to come along and enter as many events as possible.
Please arrive at least 1 hour before your scheduled event, remember times are approximate and events can start up to 45 minutes earlier than scheduled.
Volunteer Officials – (NO experience required!)
As with all events it is a condition of the Dublin Athletics Board Juvenile Competition Committee that all Clubs provide officials – without volunteers and officials - these competitions cannot take place.
Notes:
Club singlets must be worn (singlets will NOT be on sale on the day) Dundrum South Dublin Athletics Club - Team Wear Store.ie
An athlete cannot step up or down an age in any event (except U9 born 2018 can step up to compete with U10s).
Track events – Short Sprints will be decided on Heats/Semi-finals/Finals, all other races will be decided on time.
Field events – 3 throws/jumps per athlete
All competing athletes must be currently registered with AAI for 2026.
In the event of contests clashing, officials will show flexibility, ie if a competitor is involved in long jump contest and a track event/other field event is called, he/she will be facilitated to participate in both, but must inform the official(s).
The programmes and event orders are subject to change to facilitate the smooth running to the competition.
