DUBLIN JUVENILE UNEVEN AGE XC CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS
DUBLIN JUVENILE UNEVEN AGE XC CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS 2026
Hi all,
Firstly we would like to congratulate all DSDAC athletes who took part in the Dublin Juvenile Uneven Age & Junior Cross Country Championships in Abbotstown on Sunday 1st November - for some it was their first Championships while others are seasoned competitors – we were delighted to see so many smiling faces during the day.
It was one of those rare autumnal XC days that will stay in your memory – where the sun was shining and the skies were blue from dawn until dusk – and some of us were there to experience it all.
An enormous thank you must go to our DSD volunteers on the day – Joan, Gary, Rahut, Rueben, Edell, Gillian and Dermot – without the generosity and active participation of all Clubs in providing volunteers these events could not go ahead. The Dublin County Board would also like to extend their thanks to all Club officials.
Many thanks again to Joan and Gary who helped set up the Course on Saturday and were there to help take it down on Sunday at the end of the Senior races – there is a considerable amount of work that goes into preparing for all of our XC Competitions and we are most appreciative of their efforts for the Club.
Thank you also must go to our fantastic Coaches for their commitment and dedication who ensured that their athletes were well prepared for the Championships and were full of enthusiasm, support and words of wisdom on the day! A particular note of thanks to those Coaches who were there for multiple age groups spread across different race pairing during the extended timetable!
A special mention and many congratulations must go to the athletes and teams who won medals on the day and will be going on to represent the Club at the National Juvenile Uneven Age Cross Country Championships which will be held at the National XC Course, Abbotstown on Sunday 6th December 2026 and to some of our older Juvenile athletes who will also be competing at the National Junior and Senior XC Championships in Abbotstown on Sunday 22nd November 2026.
Many congratulations also to our U9 athletes who won Individual and Team medals in the Dublin wide Championships on the day – Olivia is the U9 Girls Dublin Champion and both our U9 Girls and U9 Boys Teams are Dublin Champions for 2026!
