DUBLIN T&F CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS & NATIONAL T&F CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFIERS 2025

DSD Race Walkers Championship Crew with Coach Gary.

Firstly - congratulations to the many DSDAC athletes who competed in the 6 Days of Competition for the Dublin Championships - for some it may have been your first competition whereas others are well seasoned competitors!

With nearly 400 Individual Entries and 38 Relay Entries in the Dublin Championships - we were delighted to see so many athletes participate over the 6 days of competition! There were fantastic performances from all athletes in the heats and finals on the track, in the field events and in the relays – there were medals, PBs and qualifiers for Nationals over the course of the Championships.

A sincere thank you must go to the many parents who volunteered to officiate during the Championships. We had over 50 parents volunteer over the course of the 6 days of Competition – for some it was their first time, some volunteered over more than one day, some stayed well after their children had gone home, some were even there when their children were not, some offered to come out when their athletes were not competing and one very dedicated individual was there for the full 6 days of Competition. Without your generosity the Juvenile Competitions would not be able to go ahead and both DSD and the Dublin Juvenile Competition Committee thank each and every one of you for your efforts.

A heartfelt thank you must also go to all of the coaches that attended and prepared their athletes so well for their events – both beforehand and on the day. Well over 30 of our coaches supported their athletes over the 6 days of Competition – with some there over multiple days and weekends – we are truly grateful for your time and generosity.

Particular thanks must go to Damien who was there in person for each day of the Dublin Championships and who provided invaluable support behind the scenes in the preparation and organisation of the Championships.

Any athlete who does not qualify for the National Championships in ANY event is eligible to compete in the B T&F Championships - there is no requirement for an athlete to have entered or taken part in their regional championships.

The standard of competition is high and each year we would have athletes who take part – this year there appears to be even more interest so please let us know if your athlete would like to take part so we can process their entry.
