At the East Leinster Schools Cross Country Championships, D.S.D., athletes produced some scintillating performances, for their schools, with victories for Eimear Maher (Mt.Anville) U.15 Girls; Morgan Clarkson (Coláiste Eoin) U.15 Boys; Alex Flynn (Coláiste Eoin) U.17; Christine Moran (Coláiste Iosagáin); U.14 Girls. Saoirse O’Brien (Coláiste Iosagáin) finished a close up 2nd to Eimear Maher in the U.15, and Conor Halpin (Blackrock College) also won silver in the Senior Boys race. Best race of the day in terms of class, which featured many internationals, was won by Sarah Healy (Blackrock A.C) who won the Schools International last year. Niamh Carey (Colaiste Iosagáin) finished 3rd with Grace Dervan (Wesley College) 4th. Faye Dervan (Wesley) was 2nd U.17 Girls. Also qualifying the the All-Ireland Schools finals, on the 21st February in Santry, are Brian Maguire (Benildus) 3rd and Liam Blackburn Senior Boys; Oscar Lubliner and Eoin Dunne U.15 Boys; William Kinsella U.17 Boys and Caoimhe Ní Eachain U.17 G.
