A brave and determined 400m run by Mollie O’Reilly this evening at the World Junior Track & Field Championships produced a great new PB of 54.92, and was just 3/100’s of a second outside the qualifying time for the semi-finals. At 17 years of age and not long running this distance, it augurs well for Mollie’s future and she can look forward to next year’s European Junior Championships, with the experience gained at these World Championships.
