A smaller number of relay teams than usual travelled to Tullamore for National Juvenile Relay Championships on Sunday.
We are delighted for our athletes who were representing Ireland in Swansea at Schools International, U.20 European Championships in Sweden and European Youth Olympics in Baku.
Their success meant several of our relay teams had to be withdrawn, however the athletes who did compete put in very good performances, despite the dreadful weather conditions.
Our U.19 Girls finished 1st 4 x 400m and 2nd 4 x 100m; U.19 Boys 1st 4 x 400m.
Three of our teams were just pipped at the post in the finals for 3rd place. Finishing 4th were U.18 Girls; U.14 Boys ; U.15 Boys and in 5th place U.16 Boys.
D.S.D., had one competitor in the B Championships, U.12 Daniel Conway, who finished 1st in the Long Jump and also 1st in the High Jump.
Well done to all!
