New Year Greetings & Juvenile Competition Calendars 2026


We would like to welcome everyone back for the 2026 Season and wish all of our Athletes and their Families all the very best for the New Year ahead and we hope that you have enjoyed the Festivities of the Season!

 

DSDAC Membership:

DSD Membership for 2026 opened on 10th December and we would like to thank everyone who has renewed their Membership so far. Once your DSD Membership has been processed we will then renew your AAI Registration for 2026, which will be needed to enter any of the upcoming competitions.

 

We would invite you to renew by 15th January where possible – remember that Membership can be spread out and paid in instalments if you would prefer. We still have a large Juvenile Wait List and where we can offer places to children on the list, we would like to do so in January.

 

If you haven’t already done so – please ensure that you have downloaded the ClubZap App in order to receive Club Communications.

Juvenile XC Season:

We still have the U9 Dublin XC Championships the final XC League of the season to look forward to on Sunday 18th January – further details will be circulated as soon as we have them and Age Groups will relate to 2025 for this event only. The Secondary Schools XC Championships are also coming up later in the month for all Leinster athletes.

 

Juvenile Indoor Season:

After the excitement of the XC Season we move straight into the Indoor Season with the Dublin Juvenile Indoor Championships coming up towards the end of the month – entry forms for all 5 Days of Competition will be circulated shortly.

 

All athletes will need to be registered with both DSD and Athletics Ireland for 2026 in order for their entries to be processed via the online AAI entry system – we encourage you to renew your Membership in a timely fashion so that we are able to renew AAI Registrations ahead of the entry deadlines.

 

Juvenile T&F Season:

Following on from the Indoor Season with be the Outdoor Track & Field Season – further information to follow as we await confirmation of final fixtures.

 

2026 Juvenile Age Categories:

As we enter the New Year – remember that your athletes will also have moved up an Age Group from 1st January – we ask that you familiarise yourself ahead of the Indoor Competition before submitting their entries.  

 

2026 Juvenile Competition Calendar:

As well as being the largest Athletics Club in Ireland we are a competitive club too – last year we were awarded the Athletics Ireland Performance Club of the Year.  While no performance pressure is put upon any individual athlete, we encourage all athletes to take part in the various competitions that are held during the year.
