SECOND ANNUAL ATHLETICS SEMINAR
Dundrum South Dublin is pleased to announce the details for its second annual athletics seminar, to be held on Saturday 21st October at 2.30pm, Taylors Three Rock, Rathfarnham. With David Gillick in the chair we have assembled an impressive line-up of DSD athletes who have achieved success in their chosen sport:
Olympian Linda Byrne who represented Ireland in the 2012 Olympic Marathon and who was part of the Irish team that won the European XC title in 2012.
Joe Sweeney, 4th at the European XC Championships in 2011, 2nd National Marathon Championships 2013.
Anita White who represented Ireland in the Javelin at the 2016 European Throws Championships and is current Javelin National record holder throwing 54.92M.
David Gillick will host an interactive Q&A session with the athletes who will share their experiences on converting potential into success; it is an event not to be missed. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions from the floor and learn from athletes who having started out as youngster running and throwing in Marlay park, reached the upper echelons of their sport.
Supported by FulFilNutrition we will also have some practical tips on nutrition for athletes young and old including useful post training recovery strategies.
Who is it for?
This event is for the for ALL Club members, there is something here for everyone. It will be especially relevant for Parents of the clubs Juvenile members who are looking to understand more about the road ahead and about what athletics can offer their children.
It promises to be a wonderful afternoon of learning and entertainment; we hope you can join us.
