Dear Member/Parent,
DSD is delighted to announce the renewal of the Spirit Motor Group Twilight Team Challenge on 29th September 2016 in the Sandyford Business District (SBD).
The inaugural Twilight Team Challenge last October 2015 was a great success with nearly 700 participants. Feedback from the competitors was excellent as was the feedback from the sponsors, the Gardai, DLR CoCo, and the Sandyford Business Community, we are delighted to be working with them all again this year. We received particularly positive feedback for the volunteer stewards who roared encouragement on the course and provided assistance wherever needed.
We are delighted to welcome back our main sponsor Spirit Motor Group who are based in the Sandyford Business District where the race is being held.
WE ARE NOW ASKING FOR THE SUPPORT OF ALL DSD MEMBERS IN THREE WAYS
* SPONSORS – we need Silver & Bronze sponsors. * INFLUENCE – all workmates/workplaces to enter teams in the event. * FIND – suitable sponsor friendly goodie bag contents.
SPONSORS We need companies local to Sandyford or those with a national/global reach who would like to sponsor a local business event like this as part of their marketing/branding for 2016. Contact niamhdsd@gmail.com
INFLUENCE We are hoping to double the number of entries to around 1,500 in 2016 and we need all club members/parents to help us get 250 plus Teams entered in the event. To do this it will be important for members/parents to take an active role in this regard. I therefore ask every family to at least enter 1 team from their workplace or group of friends/workmates.
FIND As we all know a well stocked goodie bag is welcome at these events, so we therefore ask our members to identify local & national companies who’d be interested in having their products in our goodie bag for the event. Club stalwart & parent Fintan Hourihan has again agreed to chair the Organising Committee who are working extremely hard in the background to make this event bigger and better. I would encourage you all to support their efforts in the sport we love by bringing it to the business community in this exciting format.
The Spirit Motor Group Twilight Team Challenge is one of the main DSD fundraisers during the year and all profits generated will be invested in club development.
