Apologies if there has been any confusion created with dates for the upcoming Dublin Juvenile Indoor Championships which will be held in the National Indoor Arena at the National Sports Campus, Abbotstown.
Inadvertently we had the correct date but the incorrect day for Day 1 on previous communication – please note that Day 1 is Sunday 21st January.
Also – links for Day 2 and Day 4 contained the correct day but incorrect date – this originated from schedule changes made to facilitate the new Spraoi Games on Day 5.
Please find the amended dates and links below:
Day 1 Sunday 21st January U15 – U19 Individual Events (+ U14 Walks & 60m Hurdles all ages)
Day 2 Saturday 3rd February U12 – U19 Individual Events
Day 3 Sunday 4th February U12 – U19 Individual Events
Day 4 Saturday 24th February Relays – 4 x 200m U10 – U19
Day 5 Sunday 25th February U9 – U11 Spraoi Games
There is no restriction on the number of events an athlete may enter at the Dublin Championships – but please note you must be available to compete in all events entered.
National Qualification
Athletes may only enter 3 individual events plus the relay(s) for Nationals.
First 4 athletes in each individual event qualify for Nationals, except in 600m where the first 3 qualify.
Relays – 3 Teams in each Age Group qualify for Nationals.
U9/U10/U11 Spraoi Games are Dublin only Competitions.

2024 Membership Renewal:
A reminder that entries can only be submitted from DSDAC for athletes that are currently registered with DSDAC for the 2024 Membership Year. You should have already received communication regarding this from the Membership Team.
To give some background on how the Athletics Ireland electronic entry system works - for DSD to submit a competition entry, each Athlete’s Athletics Ireland 2024 Membership must first be renewed by DSDAC. For this reason, we ask that your 2024 DSD Membership is current, please note DSD membership can be paid on a phased basis – Click here for full details on how to renew your membership.
Due to the earlier than usual Competition dates and Entry Deadlines this year – we will have a tight turnaround on Membership and AAI Renewals – so we ask for your cooperation and patience with our requests.
Juvenile competition entry fees are included in your Club subscription, however we would like to remind members that entry fees are per event, so please ensure you are available to compete in all events that are entered.
Club Singlets
Note that the Club Singlet must be worn for all competitions – please find the link below to order: Dundrum South Dublin Athletics Club - Team Wear Store.ie
Volunteer Officials – (NO experience required!)
As with all events, it is a condition of the Dublin Athletics Board Juvenile Competition Committee that all Clubs provide officials in order to ensure their athletes are permitted to compete.
To ensure our coaches can prepare and assist their athletes we look to parents to help when required and aim to schedule volunteers on a rota basis throughout the day to share the load.
There are a number of parents who step up regularly, for which we are most appreciative, however we would like to invite those that have not volunteered before to also come forward. Please let us know when you are available - there is no prior experience required – it is a great way to learn more and give back to the athletics community.
We are required to submit Volunteer names in advance of each competition day. For this reason, we ask that you please confirm your availability when submitting your entry. This also allows us to arrange a rota for the day ahead of time.
