National Juvenile Championships

National Juvenile T & F Championships continued in Tullamore at the weekend, with more medals won by D.S.D athletes. A very good performance by Laura Gallagher in the U.14 girls hurdles produced a gold medal finish with Hannah Murray, also hurdling well, finishing 4th.

Our U.19 girls broke their age group record in the 4x400m (3.59.43) to take gold to add to their first place in the 4x100m. The team consisted of Mollie O’Reilly, who is off to Poland this weekend for World Junior Championships, Rachel Dunne, Katie Magee and Tara Jenkins. U.18 Boys 2nd 4×400 relay – James Holden, Elliot Allen, Nathan Doyle, Naoise Moynihan O’Bradaigh.

Silver medals were achieved by Paul O’Donnel U.19 S/Chase 9.42.75; Rachel Dunne U.19 100m hurdles 15.82; and Tara Jenkins U.18 Long Jump 5.36. Aimee Kenna was 3rd in the U.14 girls 800m 2.23.13.
