It was a great weekend for Dundrum South Dublin A.C in the 123.ie National Indoor Championships, at the N.I.A. Our women’s relay team of Molly Hourihan; Charlotte Bourke; Cara Murphy and Mollie O’Reilly set a new National Club’s 4 x 200m Indoor record, whilst finishing first, in 1.39.86. Elizabeth Ndudi also won Gold in the Long Jump, with a leap of 6.28, and finished 6th in the final of the 60m sprint.
Ciarán Carthy ran a terrific 400m, finishing 2nd with a great new PB of 47.49, and is now looking forward to more good times in the outdoor season.
It was also wonderful to see Amy O’Donoghue take a great 2nd place in the 1500m, in her first time competing for the club.
Ciara Wilson Bowen moved up to senior walking and was delighted to win her first national medal, finishing in 3rd place, and also finishing in 3rd place was our Men's 4 x 200m team.
